2008 SEASONRAIN,RAIN,RAINWhat a great year for water in Western Ontario! The fish have been jumping in the boats ( almost )!! While the rest of Canada and the Northern US were crying for water, we had more than we could handle! We almost lost Tom when he cleaned out a culvert after 15" of rain in 24 hours, and was swept under the road thru the culvert. No worries a little surgery this winter,a little mend time, and he'll be back at it in May. The bears were another story. Due to all the rain the berry crop was fantastic. Very few bears bothered the towns people. The bears became very nocturnal. It's the first time in 3 years that we did not have 100% success rate. But that means there are more bears for 2009!! Also due to ministry changes the wolves are reproducing at fantastic rates. Tom's running some great "beat the economy" early bird rates!! We also have some great new comforts for 2009. A custom built sauna, fresh water in all camps, flush toilets and showers. Don't worry for you tradionalist, we kept the two holer. So give us a call,eh!
